Welcome to the Quarantine Zone
Who: Open to everyone
Reminder: your characters will not remember their canon timelines until after they have accessed the computer and slowly begin to piece their memories together from the download onto their internal drives.
~~~~~~~~
When: The first day of attendance in the new Quarantine Zone
Where: All lockdown districts 1-4
What: No warnings to include
Welcome to the Quarantine Zone! This is the opening scene, where you and your peers travel from the medical center to the buildings you are assigned to. Move into your new homes. :)
(QN posts by characters can be done separately. This is an optional in-person event thread, to introduce characters to their new environments. Video introductions, however, are not optional! So be sure to post one individually if you are new.)
The entrance hall is almost as white as the lifeless fluorescent lights illuminating it from above. This place seems spotless, save for the deep imprints left in the crevices of the floor and walls. It near perfectly replicates the real hospitals that were around before the world imploded. Boots click against the tiles ahead, harmonizing with the subtle hum provided by the lights. Patients are rushed in and out of clinical rooms, spreading the scent of injury along with notes of a familiar acidic medical stench---One that only heavily sanitized equipments carry. Doctors call orders, latex gloves flicking neon red signs on and off. From here, the hallway forks into four directions.
Each path has a sign referring to the lockdown district that it leads to. One, two, three, and four. The paths themselves branch out a considerable distance away, before requiring an ID for entry. Once the heavy doors open in response to the issued ID---Which was, of course, organized by color---The metal glides out of the way to reveal that district's lobby. These lobbies appear to mock hotel receptions, though the receptionist herself is an artificial intelligence robot. That's where the new and the old world differ. Every mock hotel building has a specific style corresponding to the district's assigned color, which extends even to the cafeteria floors' food resources. The Quarantine Zone is meticulous about color coding, in order to preserve a well structured society among the chaos of the world.
Inside the hotel rooms, a glowing monitor awaits each resident. It is then that they are introduced to the Quarantine Network, their only means of communication with other districts.
What will you do with it?
